UnstampaBelles Challenge: New Beginnings

It's a pretty big day over at the UnstampaBelles Challenge.  It's official.....Susan has taken charge of the challenge, and is doing a really wonderful job at it!  She has all sorts of fun new things in store for us, including a new "twist" aspect to each challenge.  Just something extra fun to push your creative limits :-)

So, for the New Year, we have a Challenge of New Beginnings.  The extra twist is to try to use an item or technique you've never tried before.  If you're like me, you have a lot of goodies in your stash that you've been excited to try.  Now is your chance!

For my take on this challenge, the phrase "new beginnings" mean, "new baby" to me.  Having little Eli in my life means I get to experience all sorts of things for the first time, right along with him.  First laugh, first tooth, first words.  All such exciting things.  There is another quote that I love that says, "Babies are such a nice way to start people."  Love that :-)

My use of the "twist" was to break out my Martha Stewart ribbon punch to create the ribbon ruffle along the side.  I also used (for the first time) my Inkssestials Accent Gloss to make the shiny red heart along the bottom.

Please swing on by the UnstampaBelles Challenge and see what the ladies have created this month and to get in on all the fun for yourself!

  1. Wonderful card, Sarah! That ribbon punch is cool.

Fyi (and I don't know if you care of not, just thought I'd mention it) to go live at the same time as the UnstampaBelles post, schedule your post for the Sunday at 4:00pm. Took me awhile but I finally did figure out the time difference....well, at least the time difference where that is concerned! :-)

    1. Thank you Jan!! My husband had some complicated formula set up in Excel and somehow it kept showing Saturday at noon...so I just started guessing at my "go live time" :-) Now that we are 3 time zones ahead of where we lived when I started UnstampaBelles, I had pretty much given up, lol! That helps me tremendously!!
